Advantages: Thomas land and zoo really family friendly park
Disadvantages: It is expensive
I have been to Drayton Manor Park many times the last time was in august this year.
We went with our local mums and tots group as the newest attraction is Thomas land. We thought we could combine the thomas land for the younger ones with the main park for us bigger kids.
Although it was a good day out it was expensive costing me costing me £65 for enterance the coach was paid for by the group.
Thomas land was amazing my eldest boy is 6 and although he has "outgrown" Thomas the tank engine even he has a fantastic time. The shop was massive and full of the famous blue engine and I expected the prices to be a lot higher than they were. They were on par with say toys r us thomas toys. It had a fantastic indoor play area that my 2 yr old loved and burnt some energy off in.
Drayton manor zoo is excellent, my son loves animals and the big cats were his favourite. The animals looked very well kept and happy with their environment which is important.
On the main park rides my favourite was the apocalypse I swear my stomach was in my mouth. Its a sheer tower drop but your standing up. Its so scary it took a few miutes to reach full height but was over in a second but any longer on it and I think I would have been sick.
The park itself is very clean and tidy considering we went in high season thats quite impressive.
We ate in thomas lands knapford station cafe and although the food was expensive you do expect it and they had a good range of food for children.
It was a great day out looking forward to going again next year.
Summary: love it a great day out

- 25/10/08 I think it is a great park, reasonably priced and the compact nature means not too much traipsing around. Stormforce 10 is great. |
