Advantages: Loads to do, a variety of attractions.

Disadvantages: Some queues but that is to be expected from a theme park

Drayton Manor is a theme park based in Staffordshire and really has attraction that will appeal to everyone. I haven't been to Drayton Manor for years and it was like a distant memory from my childhood. Booking online was really very simple and cost £23, which I consider at decent price considering the amount of attractions they have. I don't know if the price is different at the gate though.

Right, the park itself. I love the big thrill rides so always do them first. My three top rides are; the Apocalypse, a stand up tower drop ride (there is a sit down option as well) it takes a few minutes to reach the top but seconds to get back down again, awesome. The ride tilts you forward slightly to improve the experience. Secondly the Maelstrom, which is a big swing ride that is very cool. My favourite of the thrill rides is Storm Force 10, my friends and I sat on the back seat and when it forces you backwards you get soaked, brilliant fun though! On a separate note, there is also a carousel, how old school is that!!

For the children there is Thomas Land, which I'm not an expert on but seems to get great reviews with the children. There is also a zoo which provides a great interlude from the thrill rides, especially if you need to dry off from Storm Force 10. There is a wide range of animals, loving the monkey by the way, to keep everyone amused.

Overall Drayton Manor is a great day out that the whole family can really enjoy, there is also quite a lot and I would argue it is not an expensive day when there is so much on offer. Food at the park is pretty good, I know I'll definitely be going back.

Summary: A great day for a fairly inexpensive cost and something for everyone.
