Advantages: Very child friendly, lots of rides suitable even for young children

Disadvantages: Can't think of any at the moment

I'm not sure on the price for Drayton Manor, as I was treated to a trip by a friend, with my then 9 month old in tow. At the time, it was just the concept of getting out that convinced me to go, and I decided there would be at least a small roundabout we could take my son on.

On entering the park, my nine month old became excited by a picture of Thomas the Tank engine, which was when I found out about Thomas Land. Venturing over, I was sceptical as to how much my son would be able to get on. We later realised that children as young as him were on some of the gentler rides, and I think I may have awoken the adrenaline junkie in him already. Must be a family trait. We took him on the ever so gentle helicopter ride, and he started squealing in delight when it started moving. by the time we left, he'd been taken on Bertie's bus (which even made me feel queasy) and sat there with a grin on his face the whole way through, the diesel ride next to it (best described as several diesel carts which move in a figure of eight), a carousel, ferris wheel and the small pirate ride.

We went on a quiet day, so litter was not too bad, and I was pleased to see a few indoor attractions. The souvenir shops were average, and despite my best efforts, I could not find a small drayton manor t-shirt for my son or one in my size.

On the day we went, litter was not a huge issue, and we found the park easy to navigate, even with two under fours and two women who'd get lost in an empty room.

The staff seemed friendly and helpful, and I'd definitely go again.

EDIT: Sorry, wasn't sure about the prices as my friend booked it, but just done a bit of research and it's saying £23.00 for adults, £19.00 for children. not sure I'd say it was worth that price, but definitely an enjoyable day.

Summary: Worth a visit
