Advantages: Good variety of rides for children, has a zoo

Disadvantages: New rides not introduced often, poor variety of rides for adults/teens

UPDATE: A little inside info here - the prices for an adult wristband at the park will be rising by £3 this year, which brings Drayton Manor almost in line with bigger parks such as Alton Towers!!!

Drayton Manor isn't exactly what you'd call 'the cream of theme parks' - most of the rides have been there since I was a child, and with new rides being added only every other year, there isn't much on offer that wills you to return.

I have friends that work at the park and only get paid £2.20 per hour, so bearing in mind the fact that they pay their staff a pittance, as well as the fact that entrance isn't exactly cheap, you'd think they'd be able to afford to shell out for some decent rides more often.

Drayton Manor is a park that you wouldn't mind travelling 15 minutes to visit if you were bored on a summer day, but It's not worth travelling a distance to visit, so I'd only reccomend it for those that live local.

Some good features of the park are the fact that it has a zoo, entrance to which is free once you're in the park, and there are also a good variety of rides for the kids. All of the more modern rides aside - you can't beat the pirates adventure :)

Minimum wage only applies if you're 18+, but most decent employers tend to pay the national minimum anyway - obviously Drayton Manor aren't so decent!

2.20 , isn't that illegal , minimum wage is 3.00 per hour .
