When I visited Drayton Manor for the first time last year I wasn’t sure what to expect, especially as it was on the way home from a several-day trip to the better known Staffordshire park (I'm sure you know the one - begins with A and if you read carefully you may spot it mentioned later in the review) It was just after schools' ... We had a great day at Drayton Manor last Summer, here's my thoughts. First of all, I was amazed at how busy it was! I know it was half-term and all but I had always thought of Drayton as quite a quiet little park... How wrong - we had to queue for over an hour just to get in! Pretty shoddy ... Me and my partner decided to go to Drayton Manor Park, Tamworth the first day of the season 2003, taking with us two teenagers aged 13 and 15 (both old enough for an adult wrist band) We arrived at the park at 10:30am and parked quite close to the park, we took a cool box full of sandwichs with us for when we got hungry. We queued for 5 ... Read the complete review

Drayton Manor theme park is based in Tamworth (near Birmingham) and is the UK's fourth most popular theme park. Nine years ago it constructed it's first major rollercoaster, Shockwave, and has recently built a major new ride almost every year. It is certainly a force to be reckoned with in the UK theme park industry, and is still privately ... Read the complete review

I visited Drayton Manor Theme Park near Tamworth Staffordshire on Monday 15th July 2002. It was a beautiful hot day. The park is situated on the edge of Birmingham. Drayton Manor Theme Park is one of the oldest parks in the country. The park was built fifty years ago, in 1949, by George Bryan as an 'Inland Pleasure Resort in the UK'. ... Read the complete review

Drayton Manor is a strange subject for me to write about as I live a few minutes from the park. The other day, at work, the sun was shining and I sat outside listening to the screams from the rides. With it being right on my doorstep, it's surprising that I don't go more often. I have small children, and for them, the combination of ... Read the complete review

Drayton Mannor has been one of my local theme parks for ages. I have all ways lived within a 15 minute drive of Drayton Mannor. The park is owned by a family, which makes it different to many of the UK's large theme parks such as Alton Towers who are owned by companies. So Drayton Mannor has not got the same fincancial backing as ... Read the complete review

I suppose that most people would visit this theme park in the summer or maybe Easter. However, just to be different, we decided to visit Drayton Manor in the Winter months, a week before Christmas, to be precise. We were staying with relatives in nearby Sutton Coldfield, and had booked the tickets about a fortnight in advance. This is ... Read the complete review

Drayton manor is a theme park and zoo in one. As you enter the park you pay the entrance fee, £5 for adults £4 under 14,then follow signs for the car parks which are surrounded by lakes and are conveniently close to the attractions which is nice if you have taken your own food as you dont need to carry it with you. They have a good mix of ... Read the complete review

Firstly I will say that I love theme parks and have been to quite a few. I first went to Drayton when I was about 6 years old and it has been greatly improved since then to have a few firsts in the country. They now boast a standing up roller coaster which is unfortunately not as exciting as it sounds as you are perched on a bike seat nd ... Read the complete review

Just looking through some of my earlier opinions and I’ve noticed a glaring error. I’ve written about all the theme parks that I’ve been to except Drayton Manor Park! I am now rectifying the omission. Drayton Manor Park is situated near Tamworth in Staffordshire close to junctions 9 and 10 of the M42. It costs £15 for an ... Read the complete review

UPDATE: A little inside info here - the prices for an adult wristband at the park will be rising by £3 this year, which brings Drayton Manor almost in line with bigger parks such as Alton Towers!!! Drayton Manor isn't exactly what you'd call 'the cream of theme parks' - most of the rides have been there since I was a ... Read the complete review

My mother-in-law’s sister lives within 30 minutes drive from Drayton Manor Park, and after seeing some photographs of her and her family taken there, my in-laws thought that it would be a nice idea for us (my in-laws, my husband, our two children aged 5 and 8 and myself) to go and stay with them for the weekend and for both families to visit ... Yes Drayton manor may not be filled with white knuckle rides, but it is a very good family park. Pricing is good and you can opt to just pay for entry if you don't wish to go on the rides. Their are loads of rides suitable for I would say children up to 12ish which youngsters can safely go on without an adult companion, and their is ... Read the complete review

It is certainly a Park I will visit time and time again! It is situated near Tamworth in Staffordshire and is just north of Birmingham. As soon as I went there I instantly liked it, firstly when I went to pay I found a very good idea in operation. Drayton Manor is very under rated and is one of the best theme parks in the UK and you can often get free tickets through offers.
