Europa Excellency!!! - Europa Park Rust (Germany) Theme Park / Zoo International
Europa Park Rust (Germany)

Newest Review: ... Another ride that is quite popular is the Alpine coaster "Enzian". A faster ride, but a bit boring - good way to cool down... more

Advantages: Brilliant rides, Excellent scenery, All ages will enjoy it (from toddlers to OAPs), very clean

Disadvantages: Queues, queues, and more queues!!!

I have visited theme parks in a variety of locations across Europe, from Denmark to Slovenia, hopping across to Italy and then to the more professional parks in france and Germany.

Europa Park, I'm confident of saying, is by far the best, barring the amazing Alton Towers, of course. Forget Euro Disney, that was easily outclassed by the brilliant Parc Asterix, but even Asterix and Obelix look sheepish in terms of excellency, when forced to face up to Europa Park.

I have been here twice now. The first visit was as a little kid. I can't remember much apart from the pure enjoyment of the whole experience, which is probably what got me hooked on theme parks. My parents did (and still do) hate theme parks, but they enjoyed Europa park's garden section.

Coming back here in my teens is an equally enjoyable experience. Now I find myself riding Posiedon, Europe's first and best water-coaster. Euro-Mir, an excellent rotating rollercoaster. Swiss Bobs (It think), it's a brilliant bobsleigh anyway, plus many other exciting rides and rollercoasters.

Eating in Europa Park is by no means a problem, there are traditional restaurants (depending on which 'country' you are in) and many fast food bars.

To sum this opinion up, Europa Park is an experience to share with the whole family. From the Hans-Christian-Anderson ride for toddlers, moving up to the colourful and exciting 'Pirates of Batavia' and then the massive 'Euro-Mir'.

Europa Park is only 30 minutes away from Strasbourg and the French border.
