Ingoldmells is a great little place just outside of skegness on the Lincolnshire coast line. I must have been coming here for around 15 years now and many things have changed in that time. I can remember when I first started coming as a very young lad the place itself was just a load of caravan’s by the coast and a few amusement arcades and of course pubs. But over the last few years things have changed a great deal. This is mostly down to a company called Blue Anchor leisure they have built many things to help Ingoldmells become a great leisure attraction.

One of the main things a tourist resort needs is good affordable accommodation and ingoldmells has plenty of this. I personnel have just booked a stay in a caravan for a cost of only one hundred pounds for a week. This is amazing when you think that you can probably get around 6 people in one caravan so that works out at £17 each amazing. Of course accommodation can depend on weather one would rather stay in a luxury caravan on a luxury site or just bargain basement but there is something for everyone’s budget. One of the best ways to find accommodation is to have a day visit at the start of the season and look in the site shops to find private rented caravans. This will be the cheapest option otherwise try a search on the internet many sites are advertised or contact haven they have a site.

Well what is there to do the question is where do I start.

Fantasy Island is a new attraction that has been put up in the last few years and it is a massive pyramid building that is visible on the horizon as you approach Ingoldmells. Inside there are many things to entertain children’s rides, adult rides are around the outside of the building including a massive rollercoaster and a volcano type ride that shoots into the air. These rides can be a little expensive so unless you have fetched a load of cash you will not be able to ride everyday. Inside fantasy island you will also f
ind many places to buy food.

Ingoldmells also has a daily outdoor market at peak season which really is massive so you will find just about anything you require great place to buy all those holiday presents at a reasonable price. There is also a market down in Ingoldmells village which is also well worth checking out.

Another thing with Ingoldmells is that it is very close to skegness so you can catch a bus and have a look around there too the buses run about every five minutes and are much easy than using the car and cheaper.

Of course one of the main attractions of the seaside is the beach and Ingoldmells has a wonderful stretch of golden sand. The beach seems very clean and there are no awful sewage outlet pipes or anything so it all seems clean.

When the night rolls in there is plenty to do as well apart from the clubs and pubs on all the individual sites. You will also find the carling bar at fantasy island which is massive and has shows on all season. There is also a bar at the side for adults which has karoke and other entertainment.

So if you are looking for a cheap holiday and not worried if the sun does not shine everyday then Ingoldmells is the place for you.
