Advantages: great fun, kids love it

Disadvantages: bit pricy

What a great place. The kids loved it. We loved it. It's a massive water park set amid citrus orchards. (I guess they felled a lot of trees to make the park.)

We went twice in our week, and both times arrived about lunch time. No problem finding spare sunbeds, and there are lockers (refundable key deposit) for valuables. It's open till about 6 pm, and begins emptying out around 4, when buses start arriving to pick up the tour groups. We came by taxi -- about 6 pounds from the hotel if you can get the taxi to charge by the meter. If you have a favourite firm, arrange for them to pick you up; the taxis cruising by to pick up stragglers will refuse to put on the meter and will charge you an easy 8 pounds for the 35-45 minute drive back to Limassol.

It doesn't compare, on scale, theming or landscaping, to the Disney water parks in Florida, but it's still great fun and a wonderful to keep cool in Cyprus's baking hot summer. And the queues were much, much shorter.

Attractions: lots of tube rides, some that require you to use inflatables, others that forbid them; some are totally enclosed, so dark. The Kamikaze is a fast, almost vertical slide that none of us was prepared to try, though many other people apparently loved it. I preferred the slide you come down on mats. The girls (aged 11, 8) loved the "big orange" -- a massive hemispherical inflated orange bubble that you have to climb up, and then slide down. Our son (12) preferred the "assault course", whereby you have to *not* fall into the water; more popular with kids than adults. There's a large centerpiece for children: an adventure feature with lots of hoses for spraying others, a couple of smaller slides, lots of climbing and a huge, huge bucket that periodically upends and covers anyone nearby with water.

On the down side, the wave pool wasn't very exciting, though I guess that also makes it fairly safe for younger children, like
our eight year old. The "slow river" is too slow.

In general, safety supervision appeared to be good.

Thoroughly recommended. Visit the web site for pictures, details.

Sorry, no idea how you get there by car, after all I didn't drive. And I don't recall the prices. You may be able to get that info on the Web site.
