Advantages: Lots to fill a whole day

Disadvantages: food and drink on site is pricey.

Flamingo land theme park is only a short distance from the Town I live in and Have visited it since I was tiny!!
It is billed as a theme park but also is a zoo!
It is a shame that most people only see it as a theme park as there are lots of animals to see and I feel children would benefit more from looking at animals than fast rides!
It costs around £12 per person but that is it, you get to ride as many times as you wish all day for this. There are a tremendous amount of rides, ranging from the tiny tots to the white knuckle triple looper roller coasters. There are also scary rides and the usual game stalls too. It is good value and if the weathers poor you can always go into a family bar which provides entertainment for the kiddies whilst you can relax. It also provides a train and sky tram to get you around the park as its quite big and you get sick of walking believe me!!
The disadvantages are the food and drinks, the food isnt exactly wonderful! and expect to pay more than average for it!!And this applies to drinks too. i recommend taking a packed lunch and some drinks with you, otherwise this is where you will end up spending. Overall though it is worth the money and you can easily fill a whole day, especially if you do decide to visit the zoo part too, which is worth a visit, as there are monkeys, tigers, reptiles and more, plus even a childrens farm where you can see baby pigs or chicks!! awwww!!!.For the family I say yes it is a great day out.
