Fun play park for the less adventoruous and younger children (Gulliver's World)

Advantages: Rides can work out approx £1 each or less if you go on a few. Lots of play areas for toddlers

Disadvantages: Some rides a little old-fashioned and need updating

This is only a few miutes from where I now live and I thought I would venture there with the kids last Friday (Halloween).

It was £10.95 each entrance or £1 off if you were in fancy dress. You'd be amazed how many of the adults were dressed up as well.

I was a little unsure as had only heard it is great from little children and my eldest is 13.

I have to say though - I was impressed. Although a lot of the rides were a little antiquated - the children loved it. They especially enjoyed the log flume and the cycle ride (which operates similar to a monorail - except you have to pedal round the track).

There was plenty for all my children to do and the adults seemed to be having a good time too. I would say it is aimed more at families - so at least there arent too many queues at the rides.

There were plenty of play areas for toddlers and younger children to play & climb on.

There are plenty of eating places - although - as it was a freezing cold day - all the kids wanted was hot chocolate and there were very few who sold it (although it was advertised).

They seem to be expanding it a lttle and some of the park probably does need updating. However - I will definately be back before Xmas and will love going next summer.

Summary: A stepping stone for pleasure parks - great day out for families.
