Legoland WindsorNewest Review: ... it nearly always is but it is an awful lot of money for just one day! However, if you live locally it is well worth buying annual passes which cost £73 for adults and £55 for children and seniors. This obviously represents much better value and I know many people who use their passes virtually every weekend so they really are getting their money's worth! Personally, I don't think that I could ... more |

It is quite surprising that, since we only live about twenty minutes away from Legoland, Windsor, that yesterday was the first time that we had taken our six and four year old daughters for a visit! I think this was partly because it is quite an expensive place to visit, but also because I didn't want the girls becoming too caught up with all the thrills and spills and being less likely to be content with some less 'exciting' attractions such as our local park! Legoland is on the B3022 Windsor/Ascot road just two miles from Windsor town centre. As I sometimes work in Windsor, I do know that at busy times this road does become quite congested due to all the ... Read the complete review

We visited this year at the height of the summer holidays.A day out at Legoland is expensive, but on each occasion we've been the park has been very busy, which think speaks for itself. However if you want to avoid paying around £100 for a family of 4, do plan in advance and use your Tesco clubcard vouchers, making it very affordable.Another top tip is to take your own picnic its not really worth queueing for ages to buy an expensive burger or something like that if you want to make the most of the day. Car parking tends to be a bit of a walk from the entrance, which may not be good news, and as the park is very large quite a bit of walking is usually involved during ... Read the complete review

Legoland Windsor is great fun, it's one of those places where there is something for everyone. The park was massive, so although it can cost a lot, there is a lot to see. I think they have probably added a lot in the last few years as comparing the Windsor park online with the original in Billund in Denmark, there seems to be about the same amount of rides. Avoid the train ride (VERY slow queue and just wasn't worth missing other rides for) and plan your visit using the map. We saved one of the most popular rides, Pirate Falls (log flume) until last so queue was shorter. Did end the day soaked, though! Fire engine ride good fun. Take your own food/drink. ... As a final treat for my son before he started school we decided to take all the family to legoland. We used our clubcard points to enable us to purchase our entry tickets so that we did not need to take out a small mortgage for a day out. These places can be very expensive, with entry costs, drinks, lunch, ice creams, treats etc etc. We also decided to go outside school holidays so we would not get caught up in large queues. as 2 children under the age of four do not have a great patience. There are lots of leago statues and models to look out for around the site, whilst in cues. But unfortunately they do not have any of the characters you would expect of Legoland eg. ... Fantastic but take some food & drinks as you will feel depressed by the prices which makes the overall visit (petrol, stops on the way there and back etc) mighty expensive. Even if you just take some it will give you a good feeling.
Finding that onions are 40p extra on a Hot Dog of £3.30 is no joke especially when its hardly edable (cheapest rolls you have ever tasted). £2 for 750ml of water.
If you are really smart take a small lego present with you to bribe the kids away from the shops which sell it at full RRP.
