I went here very recently with my family and it has to be one of the best day's out we have ever had. As you enter the park there are little lego pieces dotted around in the shape of the alphabet spelling out the Word Legoland and my son who is 5 and just learning to read had great fun spotting all the letters.

There is a huge car park and parking is well organised. There is a bit of a walk from the car park to Legoland but it all adds to the excitement really. I would highly recommend taking one of the maps the rides and attractive at Legoland as it is quite difficult to find your way round otherwise.

There are rides for all ages of children at Legoland although the queues can be a problem. Saying that though I didn't wait as long as I thought I would and there are signs as you queue telling you the estimated waiting period which is handy.

It's not just about the rides though. We visited the Legoland Village which has Big Ben, the River Thames and various other sites all made out of little lego pieces and we spent so much time here as my son was fascinated by it all.

There are plenty of eating places and hotdog stands etc dotted round. There is also a lovely play ground for the children to play in all with very safe flooring.

I think it closes at around 5.30pm but they also had a cinema which you can stay and watch 4d short movies which we did. You get a complimentary pair of glasses to wear and the shows are truly fantastic. I was so impressed that we stayed to watch the second one too. There is a large lego shop selling many lego items but also quite inexpensive items also so we managed to get away with a sticker book!

We arrived at Legoland at 11am and left at 7.00pm and had a magical day out. Very, very expensive but there are token round that you can get from supermarkets which can entitle one person to free entry. I also write on ciao and helphound.

Summary: Should take kids
