Advantages: Lego awesome, plenty for really young ones

Living pretty close to Legoland means that we've visited a few times, and each time has been excellent. With kids aged 2 and 4 the place is just right in terms of plenty of rides that are age appropriate. They've loved the storybook boat ride, the fire station and the helicopter pilot rides, and even on a saturday in May none of these have involved a particularly long wait. Top tips are;
to get there just before the place opens at 10, as they let you in to the upper part of the park and you can finish all the tickets etc early,
to book through lastminute.com where they have massively reduced ticket prices for both adults and kids,
to head to the lovely baguette cafe for lunch - great value and reasonably healthy considering you're in a theme park (far better than Disney Paris!),
take plenty of snacks and juice if you've got kids that tire easily.
