UPDATED ON 31-08-01

After reading some of the comments, I have decided to add more of my opinion.

Last Bank Holiday weekend, we decided to take our son to Legoland.

It was great fun although I didn't enjoy it as much as my little one did. Obviously because it is more suitable for kids. Don't get me wrong, it is definitely worth a visit.

I personally liked the models that were made as one of the comments say. Just imagine, to make a Dinosaur that they have at the entrance must have taken yonks to build.

Senior- £ 13.00
Citizen

As I have a discount card, it only costed me £16.50 for an adult and £13.50 for a child. This covers most of the rides in the actual theme park.

We took off from our place at 10:00 am and we were there at 10: 45 am. The Traffic was not that bad.

As soon we entered the Park, my son noticed all the characters and letters made out of Lego. He was getting all excited. Why? Because he knew that his mummy is not going to refuse him today for anything and everything. I believe that when we go out to have fun, there should not be any restrictions. We are going there to enjoy ourselves. So it was time for my son to make the most of it.

Rides and Attractions: - There are quiet a few attractions in Legoland.

The Beginning starts off with the following attractions:-

The Big Lego Shop
Cafeteria
The Camera Shop
The Hill Train, which takes you in
side the Theme Park for all sorts of rides and attractions.

The Creation Centre where kids can
play with all sorts of Lego
Lego Racers

Then comes The Imagination Centre :-

Space Tower
Freestyle Workshops
Ice Cream Parlour
Sky Rider
Imagination Theatre where they are show Life on Mars.
DACTA workshops

Then Duplo Gardens :-

Whirly Birds
Waterworks
Duplo Playtown
Lego Clothes Shop
Fairy Tale Brook
Duplo Train
Willow Stage
Restaurant
Extreme Team Challenge

Then comes Traffic:-

Driving School
L-Drivers
Boating School
Pizza Parlour
Ballon School

Then comes Town:-

The Explorer’s Institute
My Town Harbour
Harbourside Restaurant
Grill Restaurant
Picnic Grove
The Technic Garage
Brick Brother’s Souvenir Co.
The Magic Theatre
I-Spy Express
Coca-Cola Fountain
Brickadilly’s Carousel, Chairoplane and Ferris Wheel
Brickadilly’s Circus Tent
Adventurer’s Wave Surfer

Wild Woods comes next: -

Amazing Mazes
Spinning Spider
Pirate Goldfish (there is an additional charge)
Restaurant
Pirate Falls
The Rat Trap
The Enchanted Forest
Muscle Maker

Then comes Castleland:-

Dragon Knight’s Castle
The Dragon Coaster
The Lego Mindstorms Learning Centre
The Knight’s Table Restaurant
The Turret Shop
Dragon’s Apprentice

Lastly Miniland:-

28 million Lego bricks used to create this miniland. It is located at the heart of the Park.

We went into the most of the rides. Out of which I believe all of us enjoyed going in to the Pirate Falls. Basically it is similar to the one that is in Alton Towers where they have wooden logs falling from a certain height, splashing water and wetting you. You see your photo taken whilst the take off. We bought
it for £3.99 in a form of a key chain.

In the garden area, there were lots of models made out of Lego. They had Tower of London, Buckingham Palace and Waterloo Station with lots of trains passing by.

As the park shuts down at 7.00 pm, everybody started heading back towards the car park. We went to shops and did lots of shopping.

It was definitely worth the trip. I am glad we went there.

Like Myk, you left me wanting more info. I've never been to Windsor but I've been to the original at Billund, Denmark. The core attractions are the same but the peripheral ones are fantastic at Billund. A collection of toys and a fantastic dolls house being some. You don't even have to be a Dane to appreciate it.
