Advantages: an african adventure in your back yard

Disadvantages: those monkeys destroying the car!

longleat has to be one of the most unique places in the UK and i am so glad i live near it! i dont really agree with zoos but this is totally different and having watched the tv series about the park, its obvious how dedicated the staff are to make sure the animals are well looked after. its just amazing that in the UK you can drive around a safari park with the animals freely roaming as if you were on safari in the serenghetti! when you first enter the lark you come to the giraffe point where you can park the car and get out and take a closer look. the staff are amazing, they are friendly and try to give you lots of interesting info about the animals. also the you enter the park on a hill so you can see down into the valley, its just breathtaking.
then you come to the monkey section where all these little brats start jumping on your car and trying to bite things off. of course there are numerous signs telling you to shut your windows or risk losing a finger!
you then move on past rhinos, elephants, wolves, before entering the tiger reserve where your heart does start to race a little as its quite common for a tiger to just stop right in front of your car and stare at you!
the lions, on the other hand, were always sleeping when i went there. lazy cats!
besides the actual safari drive, there is the activity area with lots of cool things for kids to do, there is an adventure park and a huge maze that you will certainly get lost in!
its also worth taking the boat ride to check out the hippos and seals and the odd gorilla. and when queuing up you pass the meer kat reserve which provides great entertainment just watching them.
never went into longleat house, but its a sight in itself. the whole setting is something for sore eyes so if you have never been its a great summer day trip, provided the weather holds out!

Summary: a wonder of the world, well, the uk!

Good review. Could be made better though by adding How much it costs? How long you would need to see everything? xx
