Loudoun Castle Theme Park, Galston, Ayrshire There are two ways of looking at this park, one view is that you are a theme park/roller coaster fan with experience of the top parks the other is that you have a young family looking for a day out without too much distance between you and the park. Lets look at the second option, ... Read the complete review

we went last year in July with our freinds who were good enough to treat us to this nice day out and it didnt cost them any money because they used Tesco vouchers which was really kind of them. Its in a really beautiful setting of an old castle. It was also one of the few nice days we had last summer. The first thing we went on was a ... Read the complete review

Loudon castle has improved ten fold since it first opened. I remember visiting not long after its original opening (i must have been a young teenager) and i was bored senseless. Even my sister and her friends (about 10 years old) were bored stupid so goodness knows how the adults felt! We went again recently and what a ... Read the complete review

A spectacular ruin and nice walk spoiled by the addition of a theme park. What looks like it would have once been a walled garden, spoiled by someone out to make money.Had to ask what they DID have from the restaurant menu. Was easier for them to tell me they only had one item from a list of eight. Most of the rides looked older than the castle. One cup of coffee-£1.70.Werent they making enough from my entry fee of £35.00 for my wife,me and my son.???Couldnt find the Pizzeria or a beer. Most of the young staff on the rides looked like they,d rather be somewhere else. All the same worth going to for the Birds of Prey display which was made very interesting and humorous by the falconer.....Take a picnic if you dont like being looted...Oh and by the way the castle is off limits. Look at it from outside only

Loudoun Castle isn't just another theme park, it's one with a difference. As well as the big rides such as the drop zone and many more it also has a wilslife section. The kids can go pony trekking for £1.50 but it doesn't last long twice round a small field but my son loves it. They also have wallabys and llama's and the ... Read the complete review
