The property is twice the size of Manhattan, with about a quarter of it having been developed to date. It has now become one of the most popular holiday destinations in the world.
The Walt Disney world has now increased in size and now consists of, four theme parks, two water parks along with shopping and entertainment complexes, twenty holes and eight golf courses.
THEME PARK BACKGROUND
Magic Kingdom
The magic kingdom is a Disney land fairytale themed park, it was the first of Florida's Disney parks to built in 1971. This is the most visited theme park in the world in 2007 this theme park attracted over 17 million people.
The kingdom palace is the centre attraction of the whole theme park, and is located more than a mile away from its parking lot, on the opposite side of the man-made Seven Seas Lagoon. When you arrive at the park, you will be are by parking lot trams to the Ticket centre and the Transportation point, this is where you will catch a boat across the lagoon to the entrance of the magic kingdom.
To reach the Magic Kingdom, you can choose between a monorail and a ferryboat to get you there. Other parks like Epcot can also be reached by the monorail line, this section of the line was added in 1982 when Epcot theme park was added to the Disney world chain.
MAGIC KINGDOMS LANDS
The theme of the magic kingdom is broken down into seven sections, these sections are known as the lands of the kingdom. The lands are:
MAIN STREET USA, at Walt Disney World features some stylistic influences from around the country for example New England, The Main Street is lined with shops which sell Disney merchandise and food. The decor is early-20th century small-town America, inspired by Walt Disney's childhood and the film Lady and the Tramp. There is even an actually working barber which shop gives haircuts for a small cost.
In the distance beyond the end of Main Street stands Castle. It is only 189 feet tall, but it is built with a technique known as forced perspective. So it appears to be a lot bigger than it actually is.
ADVENTURE LAND represents the mystery of foreign lands. It is themed and made to resemble the remote jungles in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, South America and the South Pacific, with an extension resembling a Caribbean town square.
Adventure land contains classic rides such as Pirates of the Caribbean and the Jungle Cruise.
FRONTIERLAND, this section is themed around the Wild West it consists of cowboys and Indians, while exploring the mysteries of the Rivers of America. Frontier land also contains classic ride attractions such as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Tom Sawyer Island, Splash Mountain, and the Country Bear Jamboree.
LIBERTY SQUARE, This area of the park is based on an American Revolutionary town. The Magic Kingdom's Rivers of America hosts the Liberty Belle river boat. The Liberty Square is also home to the attractions Haunted Mansion and the Hall of Presidents.
FANTASY LAND is area is for the younger ones or for the young at heart, it is themed in a medieval-fair or carnival style. Attractions include it's a small world, Peter Pan's Flight, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Mickey's PhilarMagic, Snow White's Scary Adventures, Cinderella's Golden Carrousel, and Mad Tea Party.
TOMORROWLAND is themed to be an intergalactic convention centre, Aimed at all ages to benefit from the new ages technology.
MICKEY TOONTOWN FAIR this area is the location of Mickey's Country House, Minnie's Country House, Goofy's Barnstormer, and Donald's Boat. It is aimed at younger children who are unable to ride the rides with height restrictions.

Walt Disney's magic kingdom has over 50 rides and attractions, some of which are Pirates of the Caribbean, the jungle cruise, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Tom Sawyer Island, Splash Mountain, Country Bear Jamboree, Liberty Belle river boat, Haunted Mansion, Hall of Presidents, it's a small world, Peter Pan's Flight, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Mickey's PhilarMagic, Snow White's Scary Adventures, Cinderella's Golden Carrousel, Mad Tea Party, Mickey's Country House, Minnie's Country House, Goofy's Barnstormer and Donald's Boat.

OTHER DISNEY WORLD THEME PARKS
Walt Disney world is made up of four theme parks and two water parks, these are:
Magic kingdom theme park, This a the enchanting storybook theme park based around Cinderella's castle and give you the chance to meets all of the Disney characters.
Epcot, This is based around the wonders of the world, walk around over forty wonders of the world. To learn about the countries.
Hollywood studios also known as Disney's MGM studios, This park is based on Hollywood the place where dreams come true, this park is aimed at the whole family and can cater entertainment for all ages.
Animal kingdom, this theme park is based around the wildlife around the world, this theme park is unlike any other.
Blizzard beach Water Park, is a water park that is full of water, slides, slopes and massive waves. A great park for the whole family, but a nice day is required.
Typhoon Lagoon is also a water park, which caters for the whole family, consists of water rides like slops slides, wave pools and even the chance to swim with sharks.
MAGIC KINDOM OPENING TIMES.
The magic kingdom and all of its sister parks are open daily from 9.00am - 7.00pm.
Extra magic hours. Every day one of the Disney Theme Parks opens an hour early or stays open up to three hours after regular Park closing, so Disney guests can enjoy easy access to the theme park attractions, With Extra Magic Hours you can make the most of your holiday time.
FIREWORK SPECTAULAR.
Every single night the magic kingdom host a firework spectacular, the firework are the biggest and brightest I have ever seen. Just before closing the firework spectacular is started. We watched these as we sailed away from the park on the boat across the seven seas lagoon.
We still got to see the full display, but this way it enabled us to avoid the massive queues for the monorail, boat and even car collection.
PRICES
Prices can vary quite a lot, as there are certain tickets you can buy for example a park hopper will allow you to get into every park and you can buy single tickets just for the one parks. But if you fancy looking at all of the Disney world attractions you will be best buying a hopper ticket, as this can save you a lot of money.
I the past I have learned not to buy tickets from the travel agents, it is best to either buy online or wait until you get to the park, as they sometimes do really good offers (especially if you visit off peak season) . This has been a lot cheaper then buy from agents.
Currently adults pay $71.00 and children under 10 pay $60.00 dollars, this is for a one day theme park pass.
If you are staying for a week you maybe best buying the weekly pass for $219.00 for adults and $182 dollars for children under 10.
(remember these are the prices in dollars so at todays rate you should expect to pay just lees than half price)
So if you do want to see all of the parks it is worth buying the tickets all together, as paying to enter Individual Park will cost a small fortune.
MY OPINION
In my opinion the magic kingdom was the best park, as it was amazing for children and adults, although teenagers may bore easily. I loved it as the kids were fascinated with all the rides and the characters in particular, it was worth every penny just to see their faces.
I feel children under three would not benefit from much as they maybe a little too young, but they can enter the parks free of charge, so I am sure Disney feel this way to.
I is recommended that you allow a day for each theme park as they are that big, you will never be able to get around them is less than a day.
Summary: A magical adventure for the whole family.
