Advantages: ok rides

Disadvantages: boring shows, no disabled queue or queue jumping tickets that were any good

I went to Phantasia Land in Bruhl, Germany last summer for the day and I give it 3 stars based on my experience and here's how it went.

First thing I noticed was that the staff hardly speak any English so that was a bit tricky as it wasn't that easy to understand their fast German speaking since German is not my native tongue or even a language I speak fluently. I also noticed that they don't have as good disabled facilities as other theme parks I've been to like Alton Towers or Euro Disney. You basically don't get a disabled pass that allows you to skip queue's or gives you a different entrance path to rides, that wasn't too pleasant as the queue's were long and tiring. They did offer a quick pass for 4 rides but you have to pay 17 euro on top of your ticket price or something so that was just a rip off and not worth it at all.

Overall, the rides were good and amusing. There were a few white knuckle rides which I enjoyed the most but the shows were just appallingly boring. They either have a very odd and unfunny sense of humour or the show was just meant to be awkward and not funny at all... I don't know but from what I got from the show, there wasn't much of a story line and the jokes were just lame. My German friends to have a very strange sense of humour that I don't understand so maybe that was of good standard in their opinion.

The food was quite pricey and the bratwurst was a bit dry in my opinion. I just remember German food a bit tastier than what I had at Phantasia. The fact that they were all out of sourcrout definitely didn't help either.

There weren't many characters around the park either and I wasn't sure what the ones I did see were meant to be. I think there was a grim reaper and some sort of dog like thing... but that was pretty much it.

So, whilst not entirely unpleasant, I expected more from my day at Phantasia and it was quite pricey to get in and whilst the rides were ok, standing in a long queue for hours in the hot sun wasn't adding to the enjoyment.

Summary: an ok day out but expected more really
