“ Address: Disney-MGM Studios / Orlando / Florida / USA „
The first year we went to florida we went to hollywood studios as we had heard good reviews about this ride and thought we would give it a go, we went to get in the queue and one of the attendants came over as she wanted to check our daughters height we and has it turned out she was not quite tall enough she broke her heart , the gentlemen however gave her a free fast pass for to go on the ride whenever she was back and was tall enough which we thought was nice of them. We went back the next year and she was tall enough we used her coupon and the ride broke down , not a very good start was the year before she wasn't tall enough and this year it broke down , we however waited in the queue and had to laugh at the ones that were already in the car as they were chatting away and the ride just suddenly started their faces were a picture as it goes from 0 to 60 in around 3 seconds. The ride itself is excellent , it has lots of twist and turns and almost feel like you going upside down , the ride is in complete darkness, but only last around 60 seconds which i feel would have been nicer if it lasted longer , but none the less still a very good ride. recommend you check the height restrictions before you get in the queue, saves the crying later.
This ride is set in Disneys Hollywood studios (previously known as MGM
studios) in Orlando, Florida - although they have since replicated it in
Disneyland Paris - and it was one of the best rides of my trip.
It is a fantastic Aerosmith themed ride that is indoors. Outside it is
easily spotted by the HUGE red guitar and upside down car. When you enter the ride your ushered into an initial room and stand in front of a big
screen. When it flickers to life it makes it look like Steven Tyler and the
rest of Aerosmith are there and are talking about inviting you to an
exclusive concert. They tell you to go and board a limo that's waiting in
the alley - at which point your ushered through another door and into the ride entrance.
In true Disney special effect style, it actually looks like your in a dark
New York alley or something... theres chain link fencing and street signs
etc. The ride itself is set in a long 24 seater limo. When you board, you
sit in twos side by side, and get strapped in with a chest bar that pulls
down over your head. The car pulls forward to a set of traffic lights.....
when the lights go green the car hits 0 - 60mph in 2.8 seconds whilst
blasting aerosmith to you in speakers in the headrest. Ours played 'love in an elevator' sang 'love in a rollercoaster' - but I believe that they play
This ride goes really fast and upside down several times. Its really dark
inside with lots of neon signs etc. It has a height restriction of 1.2m,
but Disney also do a parent swap facility where one parent can go on whilst the other waits with the kids, without having to queue twice.
This is an amazing ride - really fast but really smooth with no sharp jolts
that make you feel ill. The queues get big though - but its right next to
the Haunted Tower of Terror ride (the big hotel elevator drop ride) so you
can always fastpass one whilst you queue for the other without having to go too far out of your way.
If you like white-knuckle rides and are heading to Florida - you should
definitely try and fit this into your schedule.
Rock n Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is one of my favourite rides in the Hollywood Studios Park in Disney World Orlando Florida. This coaster is definately fast and thrilling as you blast off in your limozine to make it to the Aerosmith gig at the other side of town.
In the queue you should expect anything between a 5 minute and 2 hr wait depending on when you are visiting the park peak or off peak times and what time of the day you are planning to ride, as during 12-2 dinner period the queues arent as long as other times. However you will be entertained by Aerosmith themselves as they invite you to ride a limozine to their gig. Also there is some really cool rock memorabilia on show all placed in the queue area.
This ride features 3 inversions and goes from 0-60mph in just 2.8 seconds, all the while you can hear all the best known Aerosmith tunes pumping in the speakers placed just behind your head.
Also you can get your picture taken during this ride that you can buy at the exit of the ride, this picture comes in a lovely photo frame and normally costs around 15 dollars, which is a great souviener to take home and remember your time in the park.
If you like your thrill rides and rock and roll this is definatly one to experiance during your visit to the park,
Rock n Roller Coaster at Disneyland is one of my favourite rides there. Being a big Aerosmith fan I was excited to go on the ride and it did not dissapoint. The run up to the ride while you are queing is set out like a recording studio and you see that the band are designing a roller coster and want you to try it. This gets you in the mood for what is to come!
The actual ride is fantastic - you shoot off at speed and has lots of loops. You have speakers in your seat that play Aerosmith songs which really makes the ride more enjoyable - especially if you are a fan of the band. It is best to get a FastPass for the ride to bypass the queue. Also if you can, sit at the front, it is one of those rides where it is super fun if you sit at the front! There is also a shop where you can buy lots of merchandise relating to the ride and aerosmith. I would recommend the ride to anyone who likes rollercosters and people who like rock n roll music.
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is a high speed in door roller coaster at Disneys Hollywood studios in Walt Disney World. The ride was opened in July 1999 with the band in attendance.
Out side the attraction A giant red Fender Stratocaster is arrected along with music by Aerosmith being played 24/7 great for fans of the band
The ride has 3 entrances, 1 for fast pass, 1 for normal rides and a single rider que. If you don't mind splitting up get in this quote SOOOOO much faster.
You will be led in to a pre show where the band are putting the finishing touches to an album. They spot you and start to talk to you until they are interupted by there manager who tells them they are late for a gig. But the band don't want to leave there fans behind. So they arrange some super stretch limo's for you to ride.
You will then be lead to the loading area. (Tip - when you get in to the pre show make your way to the door on the far side. You will get to the front of the line.
In the loading area you will get in to 1 or 6 cars that play different music by the band when you ride.
o 1QKLIMO: "Nine Lives"
o UGOGIRL: "Love in an Elevator" & "Walk This Way"
o BUHBYE: "Young Lust", "F.I.N.E.*" & "Love in a Roller Coaster"
o H8TRFFC: "Back in the Saddle" & "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)"
o 2FAST4U: "Sweet Emotion"
The roller coaster accelerates from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 2.8 and the riders experience 4.5g (44 m/s²) as they enter the first inversion. The ride is totally dark and you can only see neon signs. If you do not like fast twisty dark rides say well clear of this.
After the ride you will enter the shop where you can buy all sorts of clothes and memrobilia by disney and the band.
This is an great ride and I love Aerosmith so it sutes me down to the ground. If you like coasters you will love this on.
I love this roller coaster and really it is the only real roller coaster on Disney property. You dont need to be an areosmith fan to enjoy this incredible ride (although it does help). It is one of the most popular rides so if your there during peak time it can get pretty crowded so head there early! We have seen 2 hour queues for this ride before! Other times we have walked straight on.
The queue for the ride is really well themed. You walk through what is meant to be a recording studio, you see awards on the walls and the floor has CD's in it. Before you go on the ride there is a short pre-show. This is Aerosmith doing a recording session, finishing just as you arrive, they are on their way to a show and invite you along. The tell your car's waiting in the alley - and the doors open towards the ride. The loading area is actually an alley and is spot on in the theming. You get in your stretch limo and you can hear the music playing through your seat. You head round to some traffic lights waiting to go. You can hear screaming in your each shouting 3,2,1...go! And your fired off really really quickly - typically this second is when they take your photo too so smile!
The ride is basically in the dark with various neon signs around such as large dougnuts! As with any roller coaster there are a number of sharp turns, drops and upside down moments but its the music and the neon lights that really make this ride unique.
When the ride is over and you get to the unloading area its like you have arrived at the after party! You exit into a shop filled with Aerosmith goodies!
The ride is really good,as a rollercoaster its pretty average but the combination of being in the dark with the neon signs and the music make it an excellent ride!
Having just got back from Orlando Florida I was compelled to write about this fantastic ride at Hollywood Studios. It was amazing, one of the best rides in Disney which made me come off the roller coaster buzzing...
Firstly I would definitely advise anyone going on this ride to get a fast pass, we did this and it made our experience far less stressful, no queuing. I think we waited about 5-6 mins to get on the ride and this was July the 4th, peak time.
To get to the ride you pass by a lot of memorabilia for Aerosmith whilst listening to their fantastic music. Love in an elevator, brilliant and gets you in the mood for your trip of a lifetime. I was with my older daughter who was trembling and kept saying she was scared!
When we approached the barriers we could see everyone queuing into their stations getting ready to board the Aerosmith limo. The car drives up very fast whilst you watch every car wait for the countdown to enter the ride. This countdown with Aerosmith music in the background adds to the excitement and every car that speeds off makes my heart race faster as we approach our turn. Standing in the barriers waiting for our turn had my adrenaline buzzing like mad. Our car pulled up and off we went, to music in our ears from the speakers in the head pillow.
Our car pulled up to the countdown entrance and my god from 0-60 in a few seconds we were off like lightening. Through some LA streets and various showbiz Hollywood sequins and signs, it was fabulous but baring in mind this ride is in the dark and it's very fast so I couldn't see a great deal. Various turns, upside down motions and the whole thing lasts just a few minutes but my god well worth it.
I came off the ride buzzing and feeling at light as a feather. I would go on this ride again and again but it's so popular you just couldn't!!
This is Disney only proper rollar coaster (everest does not count). The best think I can say to any one going and may be thest best advice for Hollywood studios is to get there just before 9am, que to get in the at 9 leg it to rocking rollar coaster as fast as you can and get fast passes, the go and que for the tower of terror, then you can walk almost straigh on to the rocking rollar coaster. The ride is fairly fast in the dark, the seats have bars that come down from above, but there is room for your bag on the floor aslong as nothing is loose!! other wise it may be lost. Another bit of advice is the front row offersno more exctement that the other rows and I think the best row is the last one!! So don't wait hours for it it is not worth it. This ride is definaly worth doing so don't miss out. Space mountain does not compare to this one trust me. I have done this ride 9 times in a rowand I still love it!!
This is a roller-coaster at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Orlando, Florida. It is also known as just the 'Rock 'n' Roller Roller Coaster'.
I first went on this coaster back in 2003, with my eldest last time we were in Florida, and a couple of times again this time in 2009 with my new first-time 8-year-old coaster buddy.
This is a heavily themed ride, featuring a lot of music-related imagery, loud music; Aerosmith of course, and Rock 'n' Roll memorabilia all around the ride. Apparently, in this attraction, the coaster was built first and then the building was constructed around it.
There's a fair bit of preamble to this ride, once you get past the main part of the queue of course. You are shepherded into a large room made to look like a resording studio and, playing on a video-wall through a glass wall a short introduction to set up the concept of the ride is played out.
A sound engineer is mixing some Aerosmith music under the watchful eye of Steve Tyler and other members of the band. They, of course, notice the crowd watching them which sparks some interaction with their 'fans'. Then their manager appears, telling them they are late for the concert and attempts to usher them into a waiting limo. Steve insists that all his 'fans' get backstage passes and a lift to the gig, and it's on to another queue and the ride itself.
The cars for the coaster are made to look like a stretch-limo and the coaster runs almost exclusively in the dark, with the exception of various street-sign simulations giving a little illumination.

For the uninitiated, a 'launched' coaster uses a catapult or, in this case, a Linear Synchronous Motor (LSM) mechanism which uses electro-magnets to accelerate the cars to the maximum speed, as opposed to 'traditional' coasters that start by pulling the cars to the top of a steep climb.
With the coaster being in the dark, its difficult to give an accurate run-through of the ride itself, but suffice to say it's not the gentlest of coasters. You are generally unaware of what's coming up, and the loud music and flashing signs go some way to disorient you a bit, meaning you don't get a chance to brace yourself for the turns, so you do tend to get thrown about a bit. So, follow the guidelines and keep your head back in the seat.
You are accelerated from the zero to nearly 60mph in less than 3 seconds. The g-forces are quite breathtaking, apparently greater than that exerted on astronauts during launch. No sooner have you drawn breath from that and you're straight into a vertical loop. Then, with the music blaring in your ears from the in-seat speakers you navigate through lots of dips, twists and turns. I recognised a corkscrew roll in there too and there's apparently a cobra roll in there too making up the third inversion.
Then we're back, safe and sound to a red carpet exit into the merchandise area where you can spend your hard-earned dollars on Disney and Aerosmith branded goodies.
Highly recommended, for the acceleration alone.

We have just realised that this is for the Paris ride and or reveiw is for orlando the ride is suposed to be the same but we have asked dooyoo how to remove this reveiw, in the meantime i hope it is of some help.
My wife and I have been on this ride a couple of time and it is one of our favourites, you enter as if going into Aerosmiths sound recording studio with some great aerosmith music blasting through a brilliant sound system before climbing into your Cadillac Car style coaster. The high speed launch is incredible as you are inverted twisted and turned through a very smart set of los angeles streets, look out for the Hollywood sign.
This is well worth waiting for but the queues can get too much so get there very early or take advantage of the fast pass system which works great. We have just returned from Florida and all the Disney parks but only visited Hollywood studios park (formerly MGM) later in the day as we find there is not as much for us to do there after so many visits, the problem was the ques for this ride were far to long by then and the fast pass return was also to long a way for us, so get there early.
High speed indoor rolling coaster accompanied by the sounds of Aerosmith and screaming roller coaster enthusiasts.
