All a bit Hollywood? (Sea World (Gold Coast, Australia))

Advantages: Lots of animals and things to do

Disadvantages: Expensive and all very showy

I visited the Sea World resort earlier this year and will admit I was very impressed, on the whole the staff were friendly and educational and the animals seemed happy and well kept, however it was all a bit Hollywood for me you really knew you were at (basically) a theme park.

As theme parks go it was different and good fun however I wouldn't recommend it solely as a theme park as there are only a few rides, and they are nothing compared to Warner Bros Studios down the road.

I also participated in the Dolphin/Sea Lion meet and greet which was good fun and it is great to see the animals so close, they were very friendly. The only thing was that some of the staff were very pushy and were not as friendly as I would have hoped and I found this dampend the whole visit (more so than the rain)

Summary: Good day out but not as good as hoped
