Singapore ZooNewest Review: ... example of this that all that separates you from the White Tigers and Cheetahs is an apprx 10m ditch. This allows you to feel closer to the animals and get some amazing pictures. Other highlights are platforms at the same height as the giraffes to get more personal pictures, and my favourite the orangutans! They are free to swing above the trees above your head, amazing to see them like this! ... more |

Singapore Zoo is slightly out of town but it is a must see for anyone visiting Singapore! There are plenty of buses and it is easy to get to. The zoo is split in to 2 parts. The normal zoo and the Night Safari. The best ticket for these is to buy a combined ticket costing $30 for adults and $15 for children 12 years old and under. Firstly the normal zoo is open from 8.30am to 6pm daily. This zoo is like no other I have experienced and the first thing that hits you is that there are very few animals behind walls and fences. There's an Australia section which Steve Urwin helped to ...

Singapore Zoo must be the best zoo in the world and I had the fortune to go there in March 2008. It is a bit out of town. We got the MRT to Ang Mo Kio station and then got a taxi right outside the MRT station. You can get bus 138 to the zoo but they are infrequent. There is also a bus hub service which takes people from various pick-up points in the city (www.bushub.com.sg) We stayed in the zoo for 5 hours as we couldn't believe all there is to see and do. We started off by having breakfast with the Orangutans. This is a fabulous experience. You pay extra money but you get a buffet breakfast and the chance to sit really close to these wonderful creatures. You ...
