Advantages: massive rollercoasters, allsorts to do, reasonable prices, food wise

Disadvantages: can be long waiting for rides, expensive for a family

I discovered Six Flags Magic Mountain whilst staying at Anaheim, the home of Disneyland.

Six Flags Magic Mountain is a massive theme park situated in Valencia California.
It is easily accesible from Los Angeles.

You need a full day there to get your moneys worth. There are loads of massive white knuckle rides. The areas are themed like The riddlers Revenge, Spiderman the Ride, Superman the Ride, Superman the ride is a car which goes 100 miles an hour . It rockets up a very steep pole and comes back down again backwards like a rocket. The noise is deafening.

There are so many inverted rollercoasters it puts Alton Towers to shame. There is also a stand up roller coaster. There is a viewing tower where you can literally see for miles. There are a couple of wooden rollercoasters which can be a bit uncomfortable. I hurt my hand on one of them as they rock you about a bit. There were plenty of restaurants come stalls where you could something to eat.

The prices there were reasonable, you could get a meal for two for about £6.00 including a drink.
The souvenir shops were great too, I got an amazing beach towel in the sale for £4.00, it was reduced from £19.00.

I can't quite remember the cost to get into the park, even though I've been twice. It was somewhere around £20-£25 each. It is worth it though as you will need a full day there to see everything.
The first time we went was in the month of June, the queues were horrendous, my husband waited nearly two hours to go on the Batman ride. I'm a bit of a chicken so i just watched.

The second time was in October, the park wasn't as packed and this time he only waited 20 mins, thank god.

Anybody enjoying white knuckle rides and all the fun of the fair, this for you.

I love going to places like this, if not only to watch, I just wish I could brave it and go on some.

Wow! I've never heard of this one before - sounds pretty cool though.

I could get addicted to these things, if it wasn't for the queues.
