Advantages: Enjoyable day with a difference

Disadvantages: You need to travel to get there

Kennedy space centre is an amazing adventure even if you are not interested in space travel it is difficult not to be inspired by this place. The main visitor attractions have been revamped and vastly improved over the past few years and some of the experiences are very unique, the shuttle launch experience is the best as you enter the building via the gantry and into the pre show and then capsules with smoke and vibrations you feel like you are on board there is a simulated launch which feels so real with g force and a moment of weightlessness as you enter space, even the exit from the ride is memorable trough stars and views of the planet.
There are some good tours to the vehicle assembly building and launch pads we were lucky enough to watch a launch a few days earlier from across the bay a fantastic and memorable experience on its own. The site is in a huge nature reserve and has some stunning wildlife. Fantastic I Max cinemas showing some amazing film. You can get up close to all the rockets and shuttles.
The astronaut memorial is a tribute to those that have lost their lives in the space programme; this is a very moving place.
A great day and a bit of a change from theme parks in generall.

Summary: Well worth it and very inspiring
