If you're looking for a fab day out and have kids under 5 or 6, I'd wholeheartedly recommend Sundown Adventure Land, Nr Retford, Notts. I have memories of coming here myself as a child when it was named Pets' Corner but since then it's been revamped and re-named. Set out in little zones, such as Nursery Rhyme Land, Market Square and ... Read the complete review

I have three young boys aged 5, 3 and 1, and with the start of the big summer holidays was looking for somewhere to take them for a day trip. I looked online for the perfect place to entertain them and came accross Sundown Adventureland. It was relatively close to where we live and I had heard good things about it before as I think it's ... Read the complete review

I have just had one of the best days out ever! Today I went with my husband and 21 month old son to Sundown Adventureland, in Rampton, Nottinghamshire. Sundown Adventureland advertises itself as 'the theme park uniquely designed for the under 10s'. This instantly appealed to us as an alternative to the big theme parks like Alton ... All I can say is that we travelled 150 miles to Sundown Adventureland and was not disappointed in any way. Our kids of 5 and 2 went on every ride and loved all the attractions. The toilets were very clean and well maintained, which is always a plus, and the staff were all great. There were a few wasps flying about but they didn't bother us. All in all Sundowns is a fantastic day out for the kids and we will definitely be recommending the place to our friends and family.

Nice rides for the under 5s, and plenty for the little ones to look at and play with, *but* a rampant wasp problem which they do little to try and control (and I mean thousands of the things flying around the park). Open top or open sided bins everywhere (each with about 20 wasps flying in and out), 12 wasps flying round the indoor ... Read the complete review

I loved this place so much!!! Sundown Adventureland is a 'theme park' with a difference. It's designed for children under 10. We recently went with my DS (3), baby DD and nephews and nieces (aged between 3 and 9). I wasn't sure what to expect, but I had read good reviews so was hopeful. The first thing I will say ... Sundown Adventure Park, just south of Doncaster, is a theme park aimed completely at the under 10s. However, having just taken my 2 year old daughter there on Sunday, I would have to say that a 6 or 7 year old is possibly getting a little too old for the vast majority of the attractions. The park is very easy to get to from anywhere in ... Read the complete review

****Our family Christmas adventure**** Having heard and read so many good things about Sundown since we moved to the East Midlands in the summer (special thanks most recently to mumto3 for a cracking review), we had been looking forward to making our first trip for a while now. Sundown Adventureland is a theme park aimed at younger children. It was opened in 1968 and is still run by the same family. My children were three and four when we went this year and they both loved it. I don't think the park would be suitable for teenage children as the rides and attractions are aimed at a much younger ... Read the complete review

Sundown is a great place to take your younger kids. It is one of a few theme parks that is aimed at younger children. Since we were told about the place we have been back every year. There is plenty to do and you will always find something to keep your children entertained. The water ride in the tub is one ride that the kids love. As ... Read the complete review

After reading the reviews here about Sundown. My wife and I decided to give it a try as a treat for our 4 and 7 year old nieces little girls.
We were not disappointed either. Pack the car up chuck the kids in the back and get down here for a great day out.
We followed advice and packed a large picnic which was devoured by two very hungry girls who spent all day charging about and having a real fun day as we all did.
End of the day two well worn out happy girls - both asleep within 5 minutes of strapping them back in the car for our journey home.
The whole place was also spotless. With staff emptying bins and picking up any stray rubbish that they came across.Toilets were also very clean and well maintained.
Looking forward to our next visit.

Sundown Adventureland is a childrens theme park in Nottinghamshire. Its about 30 minutes down the road from where I live in Doncaster. It used to be known as Pets Corner and although I can't remember, I believe I went on a school trip as a kid. A friend of mine told me about how she used to take her daughter there every Christmas to see Santa and ... Read the complete review

Three months ago I hadn’t heard of Sundown Adventureland and then in the space a week, 2 separate friends of mine recommended it as a good day out for young children. The park advertises itself as “the theme park uniquely designed for the under 10s” so don’t expect thrill-a-minute white knuckle rides. However, if you’re looking for a fun day out ... Everybody seems to be concentrating on commenting on Sundown in Summer. My local toddler group visited Sundown instead of having a Christmas Party. Santa can be found in his Grotto with Mother Christmas. A present was included in the entrance fee cost. We could even see Santa in small groups. I took my son in with two of his friends. ...
