Advantages: Interesting artifacts and models

Disadvantages: It's a long way from the U.S.!

The first interviewer did not do justice to the House of Katmandu in Magulluf, Mallorca. What a fun place! It reminded me of Ripley's Believe It Not, but without the sickening things that turn my stomach to look at. That reviewer said something about "a dreary model made out of matchsticks." I don't know what his taste in artifacts is, but you'd have to look pretty far to find anything as amazing as that model of Hogwarts made out of 600,000 matchsticks. In fact, we enjoyed that so much that we looked up the model builder on the web and then visited the museum in Iowa when visiting relatives in the Midwest. Check it out! www.matchstickmarvels.com . The modeler is building Minas Tirith from Lord of the Rings now. There are some cool pictures on the site. (MT is the city built on the side of the mountain.) Hogwarts was about as tall as I am -- 5' 4", but the photo can be misleading and look small. We thought that the matchstick model was the best thing there. Overall, we enjoyed the House of Katmandu.
