Advantages: Good value, great day out, something for everyone.

Disadvantages: Can get busy

Typhoon Lagoon is a fantastic place to spend a whole day or even just a couple of hours. The parking is free and if you have bought one of the 14 day disney park tickets there is unlimited access throught these days.
The lazy river around the perimeter of the park is one of my favourites, not forgetting the shark reef where you can snorkle above real nursing sharks and thousands of tropical fish!! It can be quite cold, but well worth it.
If you buy a cheap disposable waterproof camera in Wal-mart you can enjoy taking pictures to remind you at home, without the worry of damaging your own expensive camera.
If you would like to learn how to surf,you can apparently go in upto two hours before the park opens. You have to book this in advance, but if you fancy it you can arrange this early on in your holiday. Be warned it is really easy to get burnt whilst queuing for the many fantastic slides. This was our redest day!!!

Summary: All in all, well worth a visit, preferable to Blizzard Beech
