Advantages: loads of sun lounging areas and doesn't feel too crowded
Disadvantages: can get burnt badly if not careful!
Disney has two water parks - Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. Of the two I would say that Typhoon Lagoon was my favourite.
Usually when we go to a water park it is really crowded and difficult to find a spot to lay your towels etc, however we did not find that here. All around the park there are plenty of shady spots where, once you have situated yourself, it is easy to explore the rest of what is on offer.
One thing I would recommend is that you buy a sun safe top as it is so easy to get burnt at a water park - getting in and out of the water all the time it is really easy to forget your suncream may have washed off! Also, if you have delicate feet it may be worth buying water shoes. Although there is sand, when walking bare foot on the concreted areas you can get very sore feet.
If you just want a relaxing ride then try the Lazy river, this winds slowly round the whole park and is a joy. However if you like waves then venture into the main pool area - the waves are on every 90 seconds and are awesome!
There are also some reasonably big rides such as crusher gusher if this is your thing or you can snorkel with sharks!!!
A quality relaxing day can be had by all!
Summary: Relaxing or Invigorating - the choice is yours!!
