We always visit Islands of adventure when we go on holiday to Orlando. There is something there for the whole family, whether its a gentle ride through Dr Suess' cat in the Hat or a rip roaring adventure on duel where two roller coasters go at the same time and get extremely close to each other, you'll be sure to have a fun time at Universals Islands of Adventure.

My personal favourites are Spiderman which is a kind of simulater ride but you do actually move around back and forth in a cart. The big screen grafics make you feel like you are really jumping and swirling between skyscrapers in the city, its a bit jerky but an absolute thrill.

The other is the Hulk, which is from the movie the Incredible Hulk. Its a basic rollercoatser, but you start in side when you get on and you are shooted at full speed right from the off up out of a tunnel and before you know you are riding high on this breath taking roller coaster, if you can bare to open your eyes its worth it to take in the view of the rest of the park, because as with all coasters they are over before you know it, and you won't get a better view from any other ride at islands of adventure.

There are plenty of restaurants, but we don't usually bother as they can be expensive, you're better off having a big breakfast before you go in and then catching some tea on your way home.

We go to Orlando nearly every year and we have learnt not to go in the English holidays as the queues are hurendous it seems that the only tourists in orlando at that time are British. So if you don't want to spend most of your days queuing, its best to go when the kids are suppossed to be at school.

A lot of the time the weather is good so if you need to cool down then the jurassic park river ride is excellent for getting wet albeit a bit scary along the way too.

There are loads of restrooms around the park just pick up a map as you enter the park and stroller/pushchairs can be hired near the entrance for a small charge.
