Advantages: Awesome Rides

Disadvantages: In America, Cost

The sheer scale of the Orlando entertainment industry...is not underestimated by anyone. There are theme parks everywhere..the Disney Lands and Universal Studios, lots of water parks and Sea World.

The last time I visited Florida, was 1999, an Islands of Adventure was only a few months old...a park they were drawing up when I visited in 1994 as a 9 year old!!! It had a lot of fierce competition, though good prospects awaiting.

My hotel was very close to Universal, directly opposite infact, just off International Drive! My friend had only just returned from Florida and recommended this new Park to me and she said it was MAGIC!! You know what she was dead right.

I was quite a pessimist thought nothing could be better than Universal itself but how I was wrong. Sister park Islands of Adventure has to be the best Theme Park I have ever been fortunate enough to visit and any theme park in the world has a huge task in beating it! I have been to all Florida Parks and well Brittish ones don't live up to it.

Islands of Adventure, is made up of different Islands, these have themes, for example Marvel Island, where u find the amazing 3D that is Spiderman, and the Hulk Rollercoaster of course!!!

So why is it so good? Well, there are two very large roller coasters. The first one is the Incredible Hulk, this coaster has a very large number of loops and when you are launched you go off at more than 50 MPH and really the sensations and the adrenaline are overwhelming throughout the ride.

Another large roller coaster, is the duelling dragons, forgive me if this is not the correct name, but close enough! This ride has two roller coasters and they both go at the same time and come within INCHES of hitting each other, and giving all on board a heart attack!!

If Roller Coasters are not for you, but wet rides are then this too is the place! I have been on a few River Rapid rides before and have never been so wet comin
g off one, than the Popeye ride. My advice for this one is to take off you shoes and socks and change when you come off because you really will get drenched!!! I mean drenched, I had to buy new shorts!

Another wet ride, is that off the Jurassic Park River Adventure. This sails you along, looking at imitations of dinosaurs and then you begin to go up a hill, a very large one indeed. Again you see Dinosaours, very nice, and then straight ahead off you is a T-REX..ahhhh...you are meant to be scared. The only way to escape the T-REX is to go DOWN, and you do go DOWN, a meer 100 FOOT, making it the largest Log Flume in the world. Again this is amazing, and I never got wet!!!!

For this ride you have to be strapped in to ensure you don't fall out the boat.

There are rides for younger children in the Park too, and there is also plenty of places for you to sit and have a drink, or to have a bite to eat. Lockers are also provided and souvenirs galore!!!

This really is. AN ADVENTURE and if you are heading to Orlando, do NOT go elsewhere. GO TO ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE and be enchanted!!

I too have been here (in fact we went back for another day we liked it so much)> it is unbeatable. A word of advice, write your op on Word and then cut and paste, that way you can spell and grammer check your op before pasting it. Sandyd ;-)
