Advantages: There are so many i couldn't pick just one!
Disadvantages: Sometimes the queues are a little long!
If your lucky enough to be planning a holiday to Walt Disney World it is well worth doing your homework before you go, I would also recommend writing a rough itinery of the things you are going to do daily.
There are so many books, websites and people willing to offer advice and guidance on how to get the most out of your trip and it is worth listening to them. I would suggest buying your park passes whilst still at home, then you only have to queue the once when you get there, I would also suggest an alarm clock so you can get up and be one of the first there!!
There are 4 main theme parks within the Disney complex - Magic Kingdom, MGM Studios, Epcot and Animal Kingdom, there is something for everyone in the family, they also have 2 water parks - Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach.
Disney is its own little village, theres a variety of hotels to suit everyone and monorails connecting the parks. There's buses and boats to take you around the complex, honestly you'll think you have died on gone to heaven.
For shopping there's Downtown Disney which also has its own indoor theme park, there you can design and ride your own rollercoaster, it's out of this world and worth a visit. You could easily spend 6 hours wandering around Downtown Disney, the Disney Store there is HUGE!
The water parks each have a different theme, Typhoon Lagoon has a beach theme and Blizzard Beach is more wintery, just be careful with sun lotion though as Florida is boiling!
I don't want to give too much away or make this review boring but a few pointers-
Take comfy shoes - you will walk miles daily!
Save plenty of money - you will find something to buy everywhere you turn! Also be wise to budget daily.
Sun lotion and water - always essential in Florida, I would suggest a sun hat too!
Fast Pass - This is like a queue hopping system, if a ride has a long queue, take a Fast Pass which will have a time for you to go back and you can cut a huge chunk out your wait, perfect!
Fireworks and shows - The fireworks and the shows that Disney put on once it is dark are absolutely breath taking and I would highly recommend them all, the show Fantasmic at MGM is amazing!
I could write for weeks about Disney World and if I do think of anything else I will add it.
Summary: You won't want to come home, its fantastic.
