Wicksteed Park (Wicksteed Leisure Park)
Member Name: uksammy
Advantages: Toddler rides as well as rides for all the family! Disadvantages: Some older teenagers may find the park too small, it's best if you go as a whole family.
Wicksteed Park is a great theme park if you have younger children. Most of the rides are probably aimed at 8-13 year olds. However I'm 23 and thoroughly enjoyed it and went on most of the rides! My 3 year old thoroughly enjoyed it, she must have gone on one ride that was aeroplanes going round and up and down at least 25 times, no joke! It's nice that they do have several rides suitable for toddlers, do check the height restrictions though. Wrist bands are a good idea as you can go on any rides however many times you like. Childrens are £15 and adults are £10. Otherwise you can buy tickets for the rides but this can work out more expensive. You have to pay £6 for the car park but this goes towards the upkeep of the park too. There is lots of park area for picnics. My favourite was the racing cars - drivers must be at least 1.6metres tall or 1.5 metres if your an adult. Summary: A fabtastic day out, especially if it's sunny and you take a picnic. |
