okay, but dated park,excellant camping facilities (Woodlands Leisure Park)

Advantages: waterslides, going out of season

Disadvantages: over priced bad food and choice of food

we went camping with our 3 year old daughter and were put on a spacious hard standing pitch, which at first we thought was good as it was so level and they give you a mat to put under your tent, but on erecting our reasonably sized tent, found that the guy ropes didnt reach the grass, so had to hire metal pegs for £20.00 deposit, the mat they provide is not really adequate for the gravel pitch and we worried about it piercing our groundsheet.The toilet facilites were very clean and tidy, as was the washing up area, rangers were always there cleaning.
We found most of the staff very pleasant and the whole park and camping area was spotless, the park rides are ok, water slides and tobaggon the best rides but did think there was alot of dated playareas that could be replaced with better slides, some of the rooms were a bit smelly and damp, like the mega ball pool and triple drop slides.The food is a rip off so i would definatly bring a picnic or go to the sportsman pub 2 miles up the road to dartmouth.On the whole i would stay there again, but would only go out of season as the popular rides do seem to get really busy and there was only 1 person at the top maning all 3 waterslides and although the park was not busy, there were a couple of school coaches there and obviously all those kids went straight for the waterslides!

Summary: a good day out if you can go before the season
