... am going to make it known right away that I am NOT a fan of theme park rides. After a long day at Thorpe park we decided to give the new saw ride a go (only recently opened this year). We had to try as it was the ride that was getting all the hype, plus we (me and my girlfriend) are big saw fans (the film). So we start lining up, for the start of a hour and a half long wait! Being my second theme park experience I started moaning, only to find out that 1.5 hours is a standard waiting time for rides like saw. ... Farm and Country Centre is situated off the A47 Peterborough to Leicester road, at the A1 Wansford crossover. It is well signposted, just follow the brown tourist signs! Were lucky that we live just a short drive from here and have had many a daytrip with the little ones. Sacrewell Farm is a 550 acre commercial organic farm with farm animals,play areas, cafe and shops. Apparently the farm has been there since roman occupation but has been known as Sacrewell Farm since 1917 when it was taken over by William Scott Abbott. ... Zoo Banham Zoo, is unsurprisingly, a zoo based in Banham, Norfolk. Along with Africa Alive and The Dinosaur Park is one of the main three attactions in Norfolk. This is a really nice zoo with lots of interesting animals. They have all the usual animals, such as a farm yard animals in their own section along with a petting zoo. They also have some really impressive attractions such as a snow leopards, a kangaroo, tigers and zebras (all pretty exotic for Norfolk!) The penguins are also a highlight, as well as a huge number of other birds they have. They also have a birds of prey demonstration which is worth a watch.
