Advantages: Excellent adreniline rides

Disadvantages: Expensive at times

Alton Towers is a theme park located in Staffordshire, United Kingdom. I would definitely say if you are a adrenaline junkie and love theme parks Alton Towers is a must visit. Its the best theme park in the UK.I have been there a few time and every time I visit it is just a great experience.

My most recent visit was the first time I had travelled there by car.Finidng Alton Towers was quite easy with a tom tom of course. There are good sign posts though. The roads are quite narrow roads so you need to be aware of them. On arrival there were plenty of parking spaces. Once all parked up I headed towards the rail service which takes you directly to the park its self.Unfortunaltey they were having problems with the mono rail on the day I went so I had to walk all the way to the park, which was about 10-15 minutes walk. It was funny seeing everyone walking in one block like a heard of sheep.

At the entrance there was loads of paying booths so the queuing was not too bad. You can get some buy one get one free passes from some places before you visit so its worth looking out for them. I had some from Tesco and Woolworth which made it a cheaper day out.

Once into the park its like you step into a different world. It's a all happy dream world. For some of the bigger rides there are large queuing times, but if your not a one for queuing buy a fast pass as I did and your queuing time is reduced from hours to minutes.Definety a good buy! Some of their best rides are Air, Nemisis, Oblivion and Rita Queen of Speed. I had some much fun on these rides and they really give you a buzz.10 out of 10.

Staff where always happy to help and I was really impressed with the customer queries desk. The assistant was very helpful and did everything she could to help, even going the extra mile which really impressed me.

One disadvantage I saw was the lack of toilets in the park. I expected more. I visited one and it was not clean at all. There was toilet paper the entire place and the floors were just dirty.

As all of you must know buy now when visiting big attractions they charge you ridiculous prices for food, drinks and gifts. So remember to budget for such items when planning your day.

After a great day out when leaving the park you are hit with one extra hit on the wallet. You have to pay for car parking which I thought was ridiculous and was not happy. I think the car parking should be free for all. But Alton Towers are just money making evil devils. If I remember correctly its about £4.But if you want to park closer to the park they do offer an express parking service of £10.

Hope this was usefull.

Summary: Amazing thrill rides,a must visit
