Advantages: amazing

Disadvantages: can be long queues

Alton towers in one of the most exciting places in the united kingdom.
I completely love it!
It is a fair old drive to get there and the road in to the little village of alton can be a little hair raising! , you go round little curvy roads that are packed with traffic!!.
The best thing to do is get there as early as possible, we normally do this and have a sleep in the car park when we get there!!.
From the minuite you get on the monorail into the park you can feel the excitement, the theme for alton towers is playing on the way in and the monorail gives you a sneaky view of a few of the rides.
The cost of entry varies but is normally in the region of £22 you can pre book tickets online which can save you money, and there are lots of two for one vouchers on various food packets like cereal and things.
Once in the park its full of exciting rollercoasters for thrill seekers like Rita, Nemisis, Oblivion and Air.
For the younger ones there are a few small rides like squirrel nutkins ride.
There are the house and gardens to walk round if fast rides are not your thing, they are truely beautiful and worth a visit.
Its extremely easy to get around the park which seperated into into four main areas each with its own theme and rides.
A skyline runs from each end of the park ,although it is possble to walk it can be a fair trek and little ones would definately need a buggy to prvent exaustion!!.
Restaurants are scattered around the park with the usual fast food outlets readily available, this in my opinion is the cheapest option as the proper sit down restaurants can be a bit exspensive, as are the drinks so where possible take your own.
One day is definately not enough to see all the park and some of your day will be taken up with queueing for the bigger rides so where possible use the fast pass system where you are a given a ticket with a time on that you ride without having to queue.
A brilliant day out.

Summary: a great day out
