Advantages: Fast track, single riders
Disadvantages: Food prices
Do you like rides? Do you like the thrills and excitment?
There is a place in Staffordshire, the village of Alton and in this village there is a theme park called Alton towers as the park is build around these large towers.
If you have sat nav. ST10 4DB
Rather than me cramming all the prices in to here and making a mess just go to: http://www.altontowers.com/pages/prices and all the prices are on there.
The parking is quite a distance from the entrance unless you go by coach, but once you get there you can get on to the mono rail from the car park aswel, or start exploring.
On arrival I found there were lots of people selling these what looked like bike bells that go on your wrist, and they record you on rides and you can then buy the DVD for £20 at the end of your visit.
The park is amazingly quite big and there is a lot there, there are plenty of rides to keep you going for the whole day possably two.
The rides are mainly for adults, but there are loads and loads for the kids, there is also the driving school which looks great and the little ones love it.
When eating it's all very good and quite a good service and nice atmosphere, but it is quite expensive.
When queuing you can go through the fast track if you have a fast track pass, which works once on certain rides, or use single riders if you don't mind the risk of being slip up from your group and riding alone, or with someone else.
To make sure you get to a ride with a little queue, you can check the boards around the park, which give you queuing time for the big rides, and these are quite accurate aswel.
I think Alton towers is great for the whole family, they even cater for disabled and wheel chair users if they wish to ride.
Summary: Great place for the whole family.
