Advantages: Great rides
Disadvantages: Queues, distance between rides
Alton Towers is probably the UK's most popular and well known theme park.
It has rides suitable for people of all ages and has two hotels (the alton towers hotel and splash landing) so that families that can stay over.
Alton towers is also offering discounts to groups and families so i guess that kind of makes up for its expensive prices. It costs just under £30 for an adult for a day's entry but if you think of how much fairs cost you it's not that bad.
There are several restaurants and concession stands. Also, there are the typical stalls which try to scam you by putting big teddies on display and then giving you cheap puppets when you win but what theme park would be a theme park without them? The food is normally quite expensive so some people will take a packed lunch instead.
The main disadvantage about this legend park is that because it is so big, it takes time to get from one ride to the other and also queues for some rides, such as oblivion or air, can take hours.
Overall though it is a great theme park with some real exhilarating rides.
Summary: A great theme park with great rides
