Advantages: Great atmosphere and variety of attractions

Disadvantages: Long walks short time, expensive

Alton towers is much better compared to THorpe Park. The park itself is very atmospheric and well themed. It is much bigger and makes it more relaxing when travelling between the rides. I went for the first time last month.

The park itself is impressive and amonst stepping into the gates, the theming is already there and you are greeted with atmospheric music. The park isn't clustered, and you need to walk to find the rides. There are lots of rides here, from roller coasters, to the new aquarium, flat rides, and other fun things.

Rollercoasters include Air (relaxing and thrilling) , Nemesis (Great jolt of adrenaline) , Rita, Oblivion (REALLY scary). The rapids were fun aswell, but you don't get wet enough! Duel was a nice surprise and a lot of fun to shoot the coloured dots, it wasn't very scary but it was a nice new original idea.

The whole park is amazingly theemed, and you can bring the whole family there. There is also an aquarium now which is surprisingly enjoyable with nice cute specimens.

Due to the size of the park, it takes a while to walk between attractions which wastes some time. It also opens from 10-5pm so it is a short time span to have funa nd the price is at a steep £36 pounds!!

Summary: good occasional fun
