Advantages: nice area, cool rides

Disadvantages: long walking distances

Alton towers is definitely my favorite theme park in the UK. The park is set in a lovely country environment with trees and lakes all around, making the park seem special.

The rides are awesome, with revolutionary rides such as Oblivion which has a vertical drop, and Air which makes you feel like you are flying. Although Air can be scary in a bad way, as you have to lay down forwards, it can feel like you are about to fall through, which is somewhat not enjoyable!

There are a variety of places to eat in Alton towers, while these are expensive they are not rubbish quality so it seems ok. There are places for young kids too, which means that the whole family can be entertained.

The big positive about the park; that it is set in a nice environment, is also a possible weakness, as it is so spread out it can take a long time to travel from ride to ride, but walking in the nice areas is not too bad!

Summary: A worthy day out, especially if you can find buy one get one free tickets!
