Great theme park my favorite in England (Alton Towers (Staffordshire))

Advantages: the rides, queues are short, and rides are great

Alton towers is in my opinion one of the great theme parks in britain. You will be left with plenty to do and take in during a visit to the park. When first entering the park i was struck by the sheer size of it! It must be at least 3 times as big as thorpe park which meant much bigger rides. Oblivion is a must go on ride for all you thrill seekers out there, i was way to scared to go on it but it is basically a vertical drop into a hole at high speed and you experience loads of g force. Recently added to the park is the new mutiny bay, its great fun for the family although u may get a bit wet. If what you are going for is the laughs and thrill then be sure to visit the congo river rapids, they are my personal favorite and are also great fun for younger kids to. Because Alton towers is located in the countryside be sure to take in the wonderful scenery that can be found, the views are a must see from the cable cart. I would recommend going on spinball whizzer which is personally my favorite ride as it doesn't involve any going upside down but still is a laugh when you are spinning in the air. Hex is a great way to spend sometime if you do visit the park, it offers a great visual tour but i wouldn't recommend it for younger children because it can get a bit scary at times! remember to hold on tight if you decide to go on rita queen of speed as you are excelerated in the air at speed of 0-100 km in 2.5 seconds which gives you an urge of excitement. Air is also a great ride, although it may not be the fastest ride, i couldn't resist the temptation of feeling like you are flying for a short period of time as you sort of relax and feel like you are floating in the air. There are also some great ride for the younger kids as some of the above would definitely not be suitable. My son loved the berry area and almost spent an hour there because of the amount of fun that you can find there with the guns and all the soft balls. If your children love cars, then be sure to take a trip to the Peugeot driving school which is sure to entertain them for the duration of the time. Food is not a Problem at Alton towers and like with all other theme parks i was stuck for choice. All in all Alton towers is the best day out that i have ever had and there was always something for my son and i particularly liked some of the plant life at the park
