Advantages: Fantastic and varied rides

Disadvantages: easy to get lost

Alton Towers is owned by the umbrella company Tussauds which also owns the theme parks Chessington world of Adventures and Thorp Park. Alton Towers is by far the biggest with the best rides.

I think queuing can make or break your time at any theme park and Alton Towers do as much as they can to keep the queue times down and as enjoyable as possible while in the queues. But lets face it no one goes to theme parks to queue so I'd advised to stay well clear during the school holidays and weekends.

The theme park is really spread out and it's very easy to get lost there, even with at map which is one of the downsides of it. I myself spent an hour in the centre of the park lost in the gardens looking for Nemesis, however the rides are worth the walk. Some of the best rides there that I'd say are a must to go on are Oblivion, Nemesis, Rita (when its working) and HEX.

The staff that work there are fantastic, always jolly and egar to help which goes to making your time at the theme park even more enjoyable.

Summary: Can't do it all in a day i'd surggest going for two
