Advantages: It has all kinds of things to do, Rides, sea park, farmyard gardens to name but a few......

Disadvantages: entrance fees can be pricey so best to look out for promotions or book online

Alton Towers can be a good day out when when you can get promotion offers. Look out for promotion offers. Some places to look for are in newspapers, tesco club card point offers, Walkers crisp days out offers. These offers are usually full price free entry of buy one ticket and get another one free. If failing that, book tickets online as there is a good saving of at least £7. A full price adult is at the moment £36 where as online tickets are £29. You can also take advantage of family bookings which can be a big saver.. By paying full price it can be a very expensive day out. Car parking is now £5 per car.

After that once you are in it is a very good day. Full of things to do from the very young to the old. Make sure to wear good footwear because there will be alot of walking to do. It is probably best to plan the day and go to one section of the park and experience all the rides there before going onto another part of the park. That way you are not backwards and forwards all the time.

Food can be expensive if it is from Alton Towers food and Beverage places. However, there are Mcdonalds, KFC and Pizza hut which offer better priced food. Or even better take your own, there are plenty of places to sit and eat. Good to take own snacks and drinks too as they can be quite pricey too.

If the weather is rainy, there are plenty of things to do indoors. One being the new Sealife centre. Walk through the 10m tunnel where sharks, rays and many more types of fish swim around you.

A day packed with all kinds of fun!

Summary: Great day out for all ages

Good review. Are there any new rides there for this year (I haven't been for a while!)?
