Advantages: Amazing rides
Disadvantages: Too long ques
Alton Towers is the second best theme park in the uk after Thorpe park. The best rides are Air, Oblivion, Nemesis and Rita: queen of speed.
Me and my family went to the theme park in the hieght of the summer; misstake number one. The ques were just way too long 2-3 hour for some of the rides and standing in the blitering heat with no drinks was mistake number two. The price of the food and drink was just way too much and really wansnt that nice either.
If you have never been on a ride like Oblivion then make sure you go on it here. It is the stranges exspearince you will ever feel. But the bad thing about Oblivion is that it is jut over way to quick, its like a 15 second ride.
We never even maniged to get onto Rita becaue of the long ques so in the long run we all wish we had brought the fast pass tickets.
It was a great day out but the ques were jut too long.
Too get into Alton towers for an adult it is £37.00 on the day or £29.50 if you book. For kids (4-11) its £28 on the door and £22.50 online) I think this is much too dear for what it is but all theme parks are dear. You can also buy family ticets for a range of prices (visit website for more details)
I seen loads of ramps for the disabled and seen many disabled people there enjoying them self. It is £18.50 for a diabled person and carer.
Things to remember.
Arrive early.
Dont go in prime times.
Bring own food and drink.
Buy a fast pass ticket.
Summary: You should go if you havnt been before
