I love alton towers, but it can get far too busy sometimes.

My advise is to go early, get there for when the park opens - around 10am in the summer me thinks. Then go straight for the big rides for an hour or two b4 relaxing over some lunch. After that the best time to go on the rides again is 4:30 or later. If you stay until the park closes you can walk off a big ride such as Nemesis and then walk straight back on again!

It has been a big bonus since Maccy-d's opened in the park. Before that the food was far too expensive for what it was and people often prefferred to take packed lunches with them. Maccy-D's has eliminated this need.

Lastly I would advise you not to wear any loose clothing or Jewelery and not to sit in front of strange men on the log flume - last time i went we all saw some lassies jublies as she came down the big drop as a rude man showed them off proudly for her.

Oh, and enjoy yourself - it might be best if you left the kids at home!
