Hi I'm Kevin. This is my first opinion so I do explain if it's boring. For the last few years i've been to Alton Towers atleast once a year and I shall write my oppinion on the theme park. ******* PRICES ****** Individuals 2002 off-peak/peak/premium Age 12+ (1 day) £18.50 £23.50 £25.00 Age 4-11 (1 day) £15.50 £19.50 £20.00 Towers Two £11.50 £11.50 £11.50 Age 12+ (2 day) £28.50 £33.50 £35.00 Age 4-11 (2 day) £25.50 £29.50 £30.00 Age 12+ late entry £13.50 £16.50 £17.00 Age 4-11 late entry £11.50 £14.50 £15.00 OAP/Disabled £12.50 £14.50 £15.00 Disabled helpers (2) £12.50 £14.50 £15.00 Family Tickets 2x 12+yrs & 2x 4-11yrs or 1x 12+yrs & 3x 4-11yrs £62.00 £70.00 £74.00 Alton Towers Hotel Guests Age 12+ Hotel Guests £17.50 £21.50 £23.00 Age 4 - 11 Hotel Guests £14.50 £17.50 £18.00 Alton Annual Pass* Age 12+ Alton Annual Pass £59.00 £59.00 £59.00 Age 4 - 11 Alton Annual Pass £49.00 £49.00 £49.00 Family Fun Annual Pass £179.00 £179.00 £179.00 Tussaud's Annual Pass** Tussaud's Annual Pass £70.00 £70.00 £70.00 Tussaud's Family Annual Pass £219.00 £219.00 £219.00 Groups 2002 (Group size 12-26 people) Pre-paid Age 12+ £16.50 £17.50 £18.50 Pre-paid Age 4-11 £14.50 £16.00 £17.00 (Group size 27+) Pre-paid Age 12+ £14.50 £15.50 £16.50 Pre-paid Age 4-11 £14.00 £15.00 £16.00 Schools Busy Weeks***** Primary Schools*** Pre-paid £11.00 £15.50 £16.50 Pay on the day £15.50 £19.50 £20.00 Secondary Schools**** Pre-paid £11.00 £15.50 £16.50 Pay on the day £15.50 £19.50 £20.00 ******* THE RIDES ******* There are plenty of rides for all ages in this park which have been split up into 8 sections. For the white knucklers there's ******* OBLIVION ******** A ride that takes you up a slope and turns around a bend then suddenly you tilt over the edge
just before you drop into Oblivion. This is a ride for thrill seekers which will take their breath away. ******** NEMESIS ********* This ride was the first ever legs free inverted rollercoaster with loads of twists , bends and best of all loops with speeds up to 110km per hour and achieving a total g-force of 4.5.This is my favourite ride at Alton Towers ********* SUBMISSION ******* A good ride that goes upside down but a horrible experience as there are straps on your legs and shoulders that goes so tight that when you go upside down for 5 seconds the blood rushes to your head like a river ******** THE BLACKHOLE ********* One of my mums favourite ride The Blackhole. A fast rollercoaster thats in complete darkness with strobe lights and stunning effects. A ride you can't afford to miss. ********** AIR ************ The brand new ride for the year 2002. The first lying down rollercoaster which I haven't been on yet as I'm going there in october but i've heard its a brilliant ride. ************ FAMILY RIDES ************** These are the rides for all the family. ********* CONGO RIVER RAPIDS ******** This is one of the water rides at Alton Towers .The Congo River Rapids. A ride for all the family but prepare to get wet as you go past waterfalls and go down loads of dips ********* THE CORKSCREW ******** This isn't really what I would call a family ride but its a rollercoaster with some loops and is based on the dinosaur age in Ug Land. A good ride but a bit bumpy. ******** RUNAWAY MINE TRAIN ******* This is another one of my mums favourites as its a wooden rollercoaster thats rather quick and has no loops in it plus it doesnt have much queues. ********* THE LOGFLUME ******** This ride has boats the shape of a log (Pretty Obvious)with a capacity of 4 per boat which is quite a long trip and has big steep drops and as always you get we
t. ********** KIDS RIDES ************ These are loads of kiddies rides around one area. I can't give my oppinion on these rides as I've never been on them but my brother who isn't much of a daredevil enjoys it loads. ********* THE RESTAURANTS ********* There are loads of little Resturants there including Kfc my favourite and Pizza Hut which have quite reasonable prices plus many others. For more information visit http://www.alton-towers.co.uk/ hope you enjoyed my first opinion.

- 09/10/02 Hiya Kev, a big welcome from me too, off to a good start with this one :o) Why not start your op with your impressions of the place and your description of the rides and then pop the number crunchy details at the end, it would make it more interesting to a reader. Hope you have lots of fun on the site. |
