Oblivion – it’s stomach-churningly good! (Alton Towers (Staffordshire))
Member Name: chakotay
Advantages: Makes you go ‘ooer!’ Disadvantages: Too short
If I had to sum up this ride in one word, I’d have to say ‘Ooer!’ – that’s the feeling you get when you take the plunge. You start off by slowly moving up the track, getting a birds-eye view of the park. Then you turn, and move towards the top. You start to tilt, then you stop. “Don’t look down…” cries the speaker behind you, but you can’t do anything else because your head is fastened into place! Then you drop, get the ‘ooer’ feeling (well, g-force), plummet into the tunnel and come out of the other end. Nice one! My only complaint is that it’s over too quickly; you queue up for an hour and a half, take about two minutes to get to the top, then the actual bit of the ride that you queued up for (the drop) lasts nay but a few seconds. Still, it’s worth it. If the queues are short enough you could really some fun. Summary: |
