Alton towers, a theme park surrounding a historic castle wich for me was one of the best parts because you can actually wander almost everywhere in the castle without a guide, however the castle is unfurnished and leaves u with the impresion that you are on a construction site. The rides are the best i have ever seen, it is true that i haven't ... Read the complete review

Alton towers theme park is amazing! If you are into huge scary rides that get your heart pumping out your chest this is the place for you. I go here once a year and i love it, there is something for every one at alton towers. There are a number of resurants and cafes in the theme park which are VERY expensive so i would recomend ... Remembering how much I loved Alton Towers when I was younger I decided to take my younger brother and cousin last year. My Dad offered to drive us there and in return I paid for his ticket. The park is in Staffordshire and the costs of entry to the park are now £29 per adult and £22 per child. The park itself is great, we ... Read the complete review

Alton Towers, one of the United Kingdom's top theme parks, part of the Tussauds franchise is the number one attraction for thrill seekers up and down the country. I went for the 2nd time last week and loved it. The Journey & Park Location Alton Towers is situated in Alton, Staffordshire and is very easy to get too. My ... Read the complete review

I have been to Alton Towers a few times in my childhood, and on average once every few years in my adulthood. I have visited for three days in the last couple of months, having recently become quite addicted to the rides! I have no information about the history of Alton Towers - just that its been around for a long long ... Read the complete review

Reading some of the reviews it seems that Alton Towers has got that Marmite factor off to a tee, you either love or hate it! I don't like Marmite but I do love Alton Towers! As a kid I never really bothered much with theme parks, a combination of fear and just general apathy I think. As I got older I always wanted to try ... Read the complete review

We have been to Alton Towers ever since it was a field and a pirate ship (about 30 years ago) and it has always been fantastic. We went this week, before the school holidays started and sorry to say it was awful. The park is dirty and tired looking. There is litter everywhere and the floors are dirty in the restaurants. Parking is £5 per car, then ... Read the complete review

Decided to pay Alton Towers a visit last year - as I hadn't been in ages, and was not disappointed! Firstly, if you want to have videos taken of you on certain rides, you need to pick up a wristband BEFORE you start roaming the park. This isn't explained that well at the entrance, and we only came across it after we'd already been on half of the ... Read the complete review

Alton Towers on the hottest day of the year seemed like a good idea going into it. That was until we decided to queue up to to ride Rita as the first ride of the day. The sun was scorching, the queue was winding and it was the worst possible start to the day as this continued for about an hour and a half, with a nice neck tan building ... Read the complete review

My only reservation with Alton Towers is that it takes so long and is so far away from Plymouth at nearly 250 miles, 3.5+ hours is the best I've ever done and was accomplished at 4.30am. Typical - I expected bad traffic queues around the M5/M6 interchange and there weren't any! It was originally owned by the Earl of Shrewsbury and ... Read the complete review

I visited Alton Towers for the first time yesterday and I was very impressed. I went with my partner and 2 kids and think the day was enjoyed by all. The ticket prices are relatively high and along with this you do have to pay £5 a day for parking but it is fantastic as a treat and also you can exchange your tesco clubcard vouchers for tickets so ... Alton Towers is the 2nd most visited theme park in the UK and the 11th most visited in Europe. Recently the park has undergone quite a change in renaming many of the 'zones' around the park as well as introducing its latest major ride 'Rita' only a handful of summers ago. Anyway, the park is split into sections and each incorporates a ... Read the complete review

Alton Towers is obviously the most famous theme park within the United Kingdom and for very good reason as far as I am concerned. I am going next month for only the 3rd time and I haven't even been on nemesis yet, my favourites being Air, Ripsaw and of course, who doesn't love the rapids or the duck log flume. Alton Towers is owned by the umbrella company Tussauds which also owns the theme parks Chessington world of Adventures and Thorp Park. Alton Towers is by far the biggest with the best rides. Nothing fills me with more joy than a theme park, and if you are going to visit a theme park in the UK, I can recommend Alton Towers above all of the rest.
