Coming from Scotland, the choice of Theme parks within easy reach is limited. So we carried out a militaristic operation to arrange two cars, four adults, one 4 year old, and a baby to travel to Alton Towers. We stayed at the Alton Towers Hotel (see my review in that section) the night before going in the park, so were keen to get to bed early, ... Read the complete review

I love a good thrill. Well, it’s obvious really isn’t it – the human body thrives on living on the edge, pushing yourself to the limit is what gives some people a reason to live. I mean, you have normal everyday people like you and me who push ourselves right to the limit with rollercoasters and the like, and then you have people ... Read the complete review

I am 15 years old..I like to enjoy myself and Theme Parks for me, are a brilliant way of relaxing and letting my hair down. I live in Scotland, and their is not the best range of Theme Parks here but I am enthralled in Alton Towers. I have only being to Alton Towers twice, Last week being my most recent. Alton Towers is quite simply the best theme park in Britain. They have the easiest queuing system called virtual queueing, you go to the ride you want to go on, get a ticket from a little machine and that ticket tells you when to come back to get an immediate seat on the ride. Great!! I've been to Alton Towers with my friends ... Read the complete review

Of all the theme parks I have visited in the uk and there have been a good many Alton towers is by far the best of the bunch. 1 day is just not enough to get through all the rides, admittedly a lot of this is down to queing time but then most of the rides are well worth it. The park is set out in different themed areas and the quickest way ... Read the complete review

During my break up North a while ago I visited Alton Towers. When my parents were together we usually went up to Alton Towers yearly so why not miss out this year too!? My Dad decided to take us in the end ('us' = me and my two sisters) and we had a really great time like every time we go! We decided to drive up on a Sunday night, ... Read the complete review

Alton Towers is one of the best theme parks around, although many people are put off by the price you do get what you pay for. There are so many rides to chose from you will be spoilt for choice. I have been many times and found each trip just as enjoyable and satisfying as the last. It is perfect for a family day out, or for a little adventure ... Read the complete review

I hadn't been to Alton Towers since I was six, so I was really pleased when my friend suggested it. The group that finally piled into her car at 8am two Saturday's ago comprised 3 adult females, an 8 year old and an 11 year old. The journey took two hours and I was definately the most excited person in the car by the time we got there! ... Read the complete review

Now I hadn't been to Alton towers since I was eight. And after my dad threw up on the first ride we went on (the Black Hole) we were confined to the teacups for the rest of the day. So when I had the chance to go again 12 years later I was pretty much hopping with excitement at the thought of all those big scary rides that I was finally going ... Read the complete review

Having two twelve year olds, I am blessed with a very good excuse to go there. HOW TO GET THERE Depends on where you live: **From the south use the M6 Junction 16 - it is clearly signposted from the motorway, just follow the signs. **From the North - M6 Junction 15 - again follow the signs. ***BEWARE** the traffic ... I am mainly writing this because after surfing the Alton Tower Web, (which is okay, check out the unofficial sites though for better info), I now have a bug in my system which puts up an advert for Altons big 6 competition every time I go on line and every 3 mins afterwards! It has done it once during my typing this! anyone with a solution is ... Read the complete review

If you have ever been to Alton Towers, you will already know most of what I am telling you so lets call this a beginners guide. Location. ------------ Set in some spectacular countryside, the park is nestled away in its own grounds with a rather nice set of gardens and attractive house to boot. I think we have a new champion in my longest opinion ever written, as it took me at least two nights to write! I’m also checking out whether writing opinions in story-from works, as this is how my opinion on Alton Towers is laid out. I absolutely love this place!! There is so much to do and something for everyone!! I went last week with my boyfriend and we had a brilliant time. All of the rides are really good, my favourite one being the nemesis although I did go on all the others like oblivion, and the ripsaw. It did cost £17 which can work out ... Read the complete review

Theme Parks. As much a part of grand old British heritage as doing really badly in the field of international sport, fish and chips and God Save The Queen. Kind of. But, living down here in sunny ol' Cornwall, whilst having its obvious advantages, can prove to incur some difficulties in the general comparison with others, ... Read the complete review

The Tussauds Season Ticket may not seem worth it when you first look at it, but thinking about it, if you go to Tussaud's attractions often then it really is. For a single season pass, it is £70.00 and for a season pass for a family, the cost is £219.00. The family season pass works on the basis of four people (two adults, two children, or one ... Lots of rain = no queues. I've only been to Alton Towers twice now, but both times it has rained. It just doesn't rain, it pours down (maybe that's why it's so green). The rain puts most people off which means there's hardly any queues (except HEX). Most people buy a Poncho (fancy mac) to keep try. Yes you ... Read the complete review

Get back to school and do some work little darlings, while mummy and daddy sneak off to Alton Towers for the day.
