Hidden away in a not-often-visited corner of the North East of England is a butterfly wonderland. Butterfly World is in Preston Park, situated close to Thornaby and Stockton on Tees (Teesside/Middlesbrough area if you're not familiar with it). It's easy to get to, and shares a large car park with the park, which is rarely full. They open between March and october, between 10am and 16:30pm, including Sundays and bank holidays. Prices are relatively cheap - £3.50 for adults, and £3.00 for kids, with a family ticket available for £12.00. Go in and you will enter what is essentially a huge greenhouse.
