Hardly Noahs Ark (Edinburgh Zoo)
Advantages: none Disadvantages: too hilly, no animals
I used to live near Edinburgh and have visited the Zoo three or four times. I now live in Southampton and on my last visit I decided to take my neice & nephew to Edinburgh Zoo. It was very dissapointing. There were hardly any animals. The sea lion pool was disgusting and most of the animal enclosures were over grown or empty. The facilities for food were not up to much and based very centrally in the zoo which is a bit of a pain because the time you could actually do with a break is when you have scaled the massive hill up to the wolves, camels and llama enclosures. I would dread to think what it must be like to get a wheelchair up there. Up near the top of the hill is the Big Cat enclosures. One of them had a Snow Leopard. This distressed me a bit as it was continually walking in a figure of eight, this is seemingly a sign of them going mad with boredom. Summary: |
